Style Icons Series Four: Lauren Conrad

Last in the series is The Hills star Lauren Conrad. Nowadays she is knee deep in writing, blogging and designing fashion lines but she popped up on the scene as a teenager at high school in Laguna Beach. MTV then went on to follow her as she followed her dreams and headed to LA where she interned at Teen Vogue. And that’s where her style evolved. Lauren’s style is laid back but elegantly put together which reflects her LA lifestyle. Plain tee’s, blouses and shirts are put together with skinny jeans and a jacket to create an easy and always stylish look. Just don’t forget the Chanel bag! 

That’s it for my Style Icons Series for now. The five ladies featured are my main style icons for my day to day life, although I also pull inspiration from various street style sites and blogs.

My best style advice would be to not follow trends, but to take pieces from trends and apply them to a style that suits your personality and body shape. Staple pieces are key and I like to play around with accessories such as bags, shoes, statement necklaces and scarves.

As Coco Chanel said “Fashion fades, only style remains the same”.
